Abstract: AIR (Arts in Recovery) is a group that provides opportunities for consumers who experience mental illness to participate in workshops and exhibitions to promote and celebrate their skills and talent. It also provides a place for social support and skills development whilst developing self-esteem and engaging the wider community to challenge stigma and develop a positive view of mental health. This paper aims to demonstrate that having effective partnerships between organisations using art as a common link can provide positive outcomes for consumers.
