At St Vincent’s Hospital Mental Health Program she convened a Carer Support Group very effectively for 10 years inviting consumers and clinicians to attend on a regular basis. At a State level, Beth was Chair of the peak Victorian Network for Carers of people with a mental illness until December 2007. At a national level, she was the first Victorian carer appointed to represent the State on the National Consumer and Carer Forum from 2001 – 2006.
