Abstract: The Consumer Enfranchisement Project has been an innovative project and has involved consumers, management and service providers in working together in a Partnership that has achieved significant outcomes for ECMHS, community agencies, the services it provides to people with mental health problems, their carers and the community at large. Description of Facility/Organisation: The Eastern Consumer Advisory Group is a dedicated group of consumers who have made significant contributions to influencing the direction that a government community mental health service organisation has taken in meeting the directions set out in the National Mental Health Strategy 1998 - 2003.
