Abstract: Adult models of consumer and carer participation have proven to be ineffective strategies within the Child and Youth Mental Health Services. This paper will outline a project undertaken by the North Brisbane Royal Children’s Hospital District Child and Youth Mental Health Service (RCH CYMHS) to determine best practice in consumer and carer participation in the child and adolescent mental health services.
