Abstract: While the use of the term case management has been recently shunned by health and social care services, aspects of the role remain key facets of major policies such as Partners in Recovery or the National Disability Insurance Scheme. This paper responds to audience feedback from our TheMHS presentation and examines the case management role in relation to the work done by Support Facilitators within Partners in Recovery. We find that those in the role must negotiate system and client demands which shape the extent to which they are able to undertake their role.
