Abstract: A new and innovative information strategy has been introduced in the Barwon Southwest region of Victoria. 25,000 copies of the mental health “Flipper Card” are being distributed to young people across the region. The aim of the card is to improve young people’s mental health literacy and their knowledge of services.
Data and feedback from young people and workers indicate that the card has engaged young people, that it is an effective method of providing mental health information, and will assist young people in seeking help for mental health problems.
