Abstract: Challenged by the Ministry of Health’s vision to ensure “publicly funded health and social services are working together to make best use of public funds and to support the best possible outcomes for those who are most vulnerable” (Rising to the Challenge, 2012),LINC support services set out to be more effective and more efficient. LINC abandoned Housing and recovery contracts in favour of a robust Mobile Community programme. This paper will demonstrate that a mobile Community Outreach model is an effective and efficient treatment option for greater numbers of people.
