Abstract: The Psychiatric Emergency Team (PET) was established in 1989 providing a community based psychiatric emergency assessment and treatment service to the State of Western Australia. PET maintains a very active consumer involvement and also works closely with other psychiatric services. PET also provides the expert phone triage for a number of local rural after hours emergency services. PET also provides education, training, accessible support and enhanced clinical response to the Police. Description of Facility/Organisation:
