Abstract: Public and private mental health services throughout Australia are in the process of introducing routine outcome measures, in accordance with the National Mental Health Policy (Australian Health Ministers 1992). Victoria was the first jurisdiction to commence implementation, and the first four public mental health agencies began routine collection in mid-2000. Two of these agencies were metropolitan, and two were rural/regional. Assessment data were entered into a specially designed database, and this report summarizes some analyses of the data collected over 18 months.
