Abstract: Southern CAMHS is a fully regionalised child and adolescent mental health service with metropolitan and country teams, an inpatient and liaison service at Flinders Medical Centre, a child and adolescent research unit and strong links with Flinders University in which are provided mental health training programs to both the community and the professional workforce. Southern CAMHS is a small service with big ideas and has the level of achievement in the last ten years which has outstripped all expectations. Description of Facility/Organisation: Southern CAMHS is a comprehensive regionalised multi disciplinary child and adolescent mental health service serving a total population of 153,579 children aged 0-19 in a catchment area from the south of Adelaide to the Victorian border.
