Abstract: Many factors play a critical role in the development of resilience. According to bandura (1982), self-efficacy is one of these key elements. This paper examines the development of self-efficacy as a result of being part of the brainwaves radio program. Brainwaves is a consumer participant program supported by the mental illness fellowship Victoria and is wholly produced and delivered by people living with a mental illness. Self-reported evaluation indicated that participants felt an increased sense of social inclusion, self-confidence, and self-belief as a result of being part of the brainwaves teams.
