Abstract: The Mental Illness Fellowship of Western Australia (MIFWA) and its Early Intervention Recovery Program (EIRP) in collaboration with the Richmond Fellowship’s Hearing Voices Network of Western Australia provides an online recovery platform for voice hearers, their family and friends; the We HEAR WA Project. Promoting its key aims of connection, understanding and recovery throughout the website, the We HEAR WA project aims to provide participants with a supportive network of peers and facilitate a better quality of life. The website features forum-style message boards, live chat rooms and a database of online resources that is regularly updated. Participants support each other simply by talking about their lived experience, asking questions and sharing strategies for coping. The website is not intended as a 24/7 crisis line, but contains the details of local crisis lines for those who may need it. We HEAR WA can be accessed by anyone at www.wehearwa.com.au.
