Richmond Fellowship Australia (RFA), promotes positive mental health and well-being for people across Australia who are living with a mental health issue. RFA has member organisations in Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and the ACT.
“We are pleased to continue the long association between Richmond Fellowship organisations and TheMHS Learning Network to assist in the 25th annual TheMHS Conference in Canberra from 25-28 August 2015, said the Chair of RFA’s Board, Mr. Kingsley Bedwell.
“As a national mental health organisations, RFA is building on the strong foundation formed by Richmond Fellowship Western Australia in 2014 at the successful Perth TheMHS Conference. RFA members have long been a respected voice in community mental health reform and a leader in the area of recovery over many years across Australasia, and this is something we share with TheMHS Learning Network, added Mr. Bedwell.
A strength of TheMHS Learning Network has always been its diversity and willingness to embrace all groups across the Australasian mental health sector.
“TheMHS Learning Network has always had a multidisciplinary focus, including consumers, carers/families, nurses, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, educators, researchers and administrators in the way we run our conferences and indeed, our organisation,” said TheMHS Learning Network Chair, Mr Thomas Brideson.
“RFA’s longstanding support for TheMHS Learning Network will enable people in the Australasian mental health sector to broaden their connections, hear the latest developments from around the world, and participate together to keep improving mental health services,” Mr Brideson added.
