What is RightByYou and when would you use it?
Today’s young people are on the frontline of seeing their friends show varying signs of suicidal thoughts. The focus of RightByYou is on supporting and guiding young people on how to help their friends.
RightByYou is an online tool created by young people, for young people. This tool was designed with young people in mind, to create an informed lens of where to go and what to do when a friend is presenting signs that are of concern, or perhaps when they, themselves, are going through something and are unsure about who to talk to.
RightByYou is an incredibly useful resource that collates a lot of information online into one secure place. The website offers practical resources and key information about what to do when a friend may be expressing thoughts of suicide. It’s all about providing access to quick information, and direct information, knowing what they can do in the moment.
