Abstract: This paper charts Eastern Health Adult Mental Health Service’s (EH AMHS) journey of the creation of new strategic development positions from within current funding to support clinical practice to reflect best practice in working with families, children and carers. These positions are unique as they utilise the skills of senior clinicians on the ground to reflect on the practice within the teams in order to find tailored strategies to enable teams to work effectively with family children and carers. The paper presents the learning’s from the first 18 months through qualitative and quantitative data from the multi-level review.
